STAGS BEATEN BY SINGLE GOAL.
AFC Totton went into yesterday’s Pre season match at Gang Warily with an experimental starting eleven also minus Connor York who picked up an injury during the Stags 2-1 home defeat to Aldershot Town and Louis was also minus Ian Oliver.
Blackfield Made the better start and were marginally on top in the opening quarter of an hour. There was not much to report in the way of worthwhile goalmouth action.
Chances did eventually arrive both sides. Firstly Tobi Adekunle squared a ball for Sherbs who shot straight at the keeper. At the other end Murphy made a top drawer save to deny Blackfield.
Totton keeper Shane Murphy was called into action on a few occasions making a couple of fine saves to deny the home side
Blackfield did take the lead when a low cross was bundled home by (scorer Unknown) from close range.

After the break Totton improved creating a few opportunities.
From a corner, Callum Chugg’s looping header at the far post is held by the Blackfield keeper.
Craig Feeney then beat the offside trap to get in on a one on one, but his effort was saved at close range by the Blackfield keeper.
Then Sub Curtis Young swung over a free kick and Sherborne headed wide.
With the clock running down Sam Roberts crossed and this saw Nathaniel Sherborne try an acrobatic overhead effort which went straight at the keeper.
