AFC Totton 4-2 AFC Portchester

Portchester took an early lead with only 6 minutes of the game gone. A ball played forward into the box was hit past keeper Mitchell Jackson. After the early setback, Totton got an equaliser after 14 minutes. Shahram Jalal picked out Matt Wotton, who held off a defender as he ran into the box & slotted the ball past the keeper.

Totton took the lead after 18 minutes following a Jack Diaper free kick. From 30 yards out his delivery to the far post picked out Matt Wotton. He headed the ball back across goal to James Matthews, whose shot went in off the underside of the bar.

After 30 minutes Totton went close to increasing their lead. Samuel Muddiman out on the right cut back inside from 35 yards out & drilled a deep cross to Matt Wotton. His header from 10 yards out was tipped round the post by the keeper. With 36 minutes gone, Matt Wotton ran on to a through pass & was challenged inside the box, with the ball going out for corner. The resulting kick from Sam Richardson was headed wide by Patryk Lachowicz from 12 yards out.

Totton increased their lead after 40 minutes. Matt Wotton received the ball just inside the Portchester half before turning & playing in James Matthews, who ran on to slot the ball past the keeper.

Half Time: AFC Totton 3-1 AFC Portchester

Portchester reduced the deficit minutes after the break. An attack down the right ended with the ball being played into the box & fired past keeper Mitchell Jackson.

On 61 minutes Jack Diaper passed to Shahram Jalal who crossed to Josh Carey, but his shot was blocked before being cleared. Portchester went close on 65 minutes when a shot from the edge of the box flew just past the upright. On 68 minutes Josh Carey played a neat one-two with James Matthews, but the striker shot wide of the goal from inside the box.

After 71 minutes Totton restored their two goal lead. From a throw in half way inside the Portchester half, Aaron McKeown picked out Shahram Jalal who burst forward into the box to shoot past the keeper.

With 81 minutes gone, Josh Carey slotted the ball through to James Matthews, but his shot from inside the box went just past the far post. With 89 minutes gone, Jack Diaper put a free kick into the box & after several attempts on goal were blocked, the danger was cleared.
Deep into stoppage time, Mitchell Jackson tipped the ball round the post for a corner.
