Dear Stags Supporters

It has been a long time since we have been to a football match and the stadium and during the last 4 months or so a lot of things have changed at the club.

I would like to apologise to all our supporters for the teething problems we are experiencing with the new ticketing system. This system has been introduced to reduce the amount of cash being handled at the club and hopefully to keep our more vulnerable volunteers safe.  The prices have now been corrected in line with the club statement in April 2020 and access to both tickets online is being sorted. In hindsight we announced the prices too soon as the lockdown has gone on for longer than we first anticipated which causes clubs like ours financial problems. A lot of clubs have had fund raising pages which we have avoided to date but should we not start in September 2020 then we may need to ask for help. Whilst in lockdown with no income we still have to pay all our usual bills to keep the stadium running.

In April we announced free tickets for NHS workers, during the lockdown we have extended this to key workers and we have a list of people that have requested them and when we get going again we will inform these people how to get their ticket.

The pitch is almost ready to start playing again, the work carried out to the pitch was fairly extensive this year and has taken longer to come back to a pitch ready for games.

The club / stadium is being spruced up ready for the new season and we would like to thank our volunteers for working safely at the ground carrying out a number of much needed works.

A lot of rumours are starting with regard to the football commencing but nothing has been decided. We are being kept informed by the league how things are progressing but nothing of any certainty has been announced. A pre-season programme has been collated but until a start date is confirmed there is no point in announcing games as this may change.

If any supporters have any questions I will be happy to answer them and you can send them to chairman@afctotton.com   please make sure you put your name with the question

Kind Regards

Wayne Mew (AFC Totton Chairman)
