Decent turnout for Stags Stadium Clean up 2018

Decent turnout for Stags Stadium Clean up 2018

Despite the hot weather and despite the fact that England had a massive World Cup quarter final today, AFC Totton had a decent turn out for the annual Stadium Clean up.

Several club volunteers turned up as well as a few supporters, including two from who came down from Hounslow in South West London.

Thanks to the clubs Community engagement officer Simon Young, Redbridge Wanderers FC sent a work party over to the Testwood Community Stadium including Mums, Dads, Kids and club officials to help with cleaning the seats and sweeping the steps in the main stand.

Listen to the audio below to here from Redbridge Wanderers FC Chairman Chris Thomas who told us all about his football club.

Simon Young also gave us his thoughts on the Stadium clean up day and about the Community side of AFC Totton. Listen to the audio below to hear Simon.

Those who remained until 3pm went into the club bar to enjoy some much deserved refreshments and watch Gareth Southgates boys claim a place in the World Cup semi finals. Well done England and well done to all those who showed up to help out today all of your help was very much appreciated!
