This weekend’s batch of games could be titled the late show with no fewer than eleven goals being scored in the 80thminute or later.
With Taunton otherwise engaged in FA Trophy action, second placed Salisbury missed their chance to reduce the five point gap with a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Larkhall.
Bristol Manor Farm reclaimed third spot but will be disappointed to have let two points slip away after conceding twice in the final six minutes of their 3-3 home draw with Didcot.
Another side hit late on were Swindon Supermarine, beaten 2-0 at Yate who are now unbeaten in four as Stephen Davies scored on 87 and 89 minutes to drop the Wiltshire side to fourth place.
Evesham regained the winning touch after a poor run of form with a 5-3 win at Slimbridge which moves the Robins up to fifth on 25 points.
Five teams sit next in the table all locked together on 23 points. The Stags head the pack on goal difference ahead of Winchester who edged out bottom side Bishops Cleeve 2-1 thanks to an Oli Bailey brace, the winner coming on 94 minutes.
Late drama again at Bideford where the home side trailed Cinderford but struck twice in the last five minutes to finish at 2-2.
Wimborne’s Toby Holmes notched his eleventh of the season in a last minute 2-1 win at Cirencester to keep the Magpies in touch in ninth spot one place above Didcot who complete the 23 point club.
