Leaders Taunton remain unbeaten away from home after winning 3-2 at Larkhall to extend their lead at the top to four points.
The Stags will face opponents sitting in second position on 35 points next weekend following Bristol Manor Farm’s 3-1 win at Yate which saw top West Division marks-man Dean Stamp score his seventeenth goal of the season.
Two points behind in third place are Winchester, 2-0 winners at home to Evesham to complete a prosperous week having also collected three points at North Leigh on Tuesday. In contrast, one point from three games sees Evesham fall to tenth.
Drama at Salisbury where the Whites stormed into a 3-0 lead against Bideford but referee Daniel Lamport was forced to abandon the game just before the interval following a disturbance on the steps of the tunnel after a second red card for the visitors. Whilst the abandonment saw Salisbury drop to ninth, Bideford fell just one place to fourth where they sit on 32 points together with Swindon Supermarine, 2-1 winners at home to Paulton.
Wimborne will be disappointed with a 1-1 draw at Barnstaple but cling onto a top six place just ahead of the Stags on goals scored with goal difference being identical. Didcot make up the threesome on 30 points after a comfortable 4-0 win at home to Slimbridge.
Kidlington now sit on 28 just one point outside the top ten after their 2-0 win over visitors Bishops Cleeve made it twelve games without defeat. The 1-1 scoreline between Cinderford and North Leigh was the home side’s fifth draw in succession while Shortwood’s 1- 0 home victory over Mangotsfield was their first win in seven attempts and sees them climb out of the bottom three.
Tuesday night could see Taunton go seven points clear at the top with a home win over lowly Barnstaple while Kidlington’s unbeaten run will be put to the test at Salisbury. The Stags encounter at Bristol Manor Farm is one of next Saturday’s highlights together with Taunton hosting Salisbury.
