PORTCHESTER ADVANCE IN HAMPSHIRE CUP UPSET
AFC Portchester produced a commanding performance as they beat AFC Totton 2-0 in the Hampshire FA Senior Cup.
The first half started in an end-to-end fashion, with the two sides taking turns to foray forward, before settling down into a cagier affair. The hosts kicked on towards the end of the first 45 and were rewarded when HARRY BECKLEY opened the scoring with a back post header on the stroke of half-time.
The Royals kicked on in the second half, and doubled their lead when a delicious cross in from captain Conor Bailey was met with a thunderous header from LIAM ROBINSON that gave the visiting goalkeeper no chance.
AFC Portchester saw out the game for a deserved victory.
