SHAQ ATTACK HELPS STAGS CONQUER BARUM
AFC Totton continued their magnificent start by punishing Barnstaple Town. Shaquille GWENGWE put the Stags ahead in under three minutes, despite Jack Arthur’s goalkeeping efforts. Barum rallied and scored a deserved equaliser as Luis EDMONDSON headed home from Euan Washbrook’s superb cross. The bottom team were unable to hold on for long with GWENGWE scoring his second, followed by quickfire goals for Stephane ZUBAR and Hisham KASIMU giving the away side a commanding lead. GWENGWE completed his hat-trick soon after with a spectacular curling effort across Arthur. KASIMU added his second and Totton’s sixth on the stroke of half-time. The rout was completed in the second-half through a stunning strike from range by Jack HOEY and a Sam GRIFFIN tap-in.
