TOTTON TRIUMPH AS STAGS LOCK HORNS
AFC Totton continued their strong league form with a battling 1-0 home victory over rivals Bashley. Totton dominated proceedings in the first half, including a wonderful team passing move that put Ethan Taylor through, but on the stretch he could only shoot wide.
It looked like honours would be even at the interval, but the hosts found a breakthrough in stoppage time, Tommy WRIGHT finding space to nestle the ball in the bottom corner.
Bashley were much improved in the second half and had more possession than their opponents, but the home side defended doggedly to prevent any clear-cut chances.
Despite a backs-to-the-wall finish, Totton held firm to take another vital three points in the title race.
