SCINTILLATING STAGS TOO MUCH FOR SORRY EAST COWES

AFC TOTTON RAN OUT COMFORTABLE winners at the Snows Stadium in a 7-0 drubbing against lower league East Cowes.

The Stags were quick out the blocks penning the Isle of Wight side back through an Alfie STANLEY close range finish inside five minutes.

Minutes later, East Cowes were almost two behind when Stanley was through on goal again, doing everything right bar a mix up of feet.

Danger man Stanley was denied goal of the night after a driving run from just inside his own half, saw him weave past four players but just couldn’t find the golden touch.

Owen PELHAM’S first senior goal for the club saw the Stags double their lead in the first fifteen minutes.

The Vics fell further behind after two quick goals from Charlie KENNEDY and Owen PELHAM’S second of the night turned their night from bad to worse.

Sa-Sean Lutumba replaced the injured Jordan Ragguette before a defensive mix up saw Jordan CHIEDOZIE fire home for five.

Unfortunately for East Cowes, the home side showed no mercy, with Luke Hallett showing his class playing a pin-point, defence splitting through ball to Stanley who shot straight at the keeper; Joe TURNER was alive to tap in the rebound.

Minutes into the second half Alfie STANLEY scored his second of the night putting The Stags into seven heavens.

AFC Totton turn their attention to the FA Trophy on Saturday when they face National League side Havant and Waterlooville at home.
