STAGS SHARE SPOILS WITH HAMMERS

AFC Totton were held to a 0-0 draw by visitors Hamworthy United.

After a cagey start, the home side began to pile on the pressure, with Conor Whiteley and Matty Burrows both coming close. The Stags won a penalty when Charlie Kennedy was brought down on the counter, but Charlie Davis blasted his spot-kick over the bar.

The home side threatened after the break as well, unable to find a breakthrough, and when away captain Anthony Rolls was sent off for a second yellow card the crowd’s spirits soared. Sadly for the home support, Kennedy was also given his marching orders a few minutes later, and while Totton huffed and puffed the Hammers held firm to take away a point.
