STAGS WIN AT WORTHIANS TO STAY IN PLAY-OFF HUNT

AFC Totton continued their push for a play-off spot with an accomplished 3-0 win at Highworth Town.

After the hosts nearly took the lead early only to be denied by a smart stop from young goalkeeper Josh Jeffries, the visitors went from strength to strength.

The opener came from right back Callum BAUGHAN, who made an incisive underlapping run before finishing into the roof of the net.

The visitors doubled their lead before half-time with Rob FLOOKS stabbing home from close range.

The Stags killed the game off early in the second period as Freddie READ’s assured strike gave them a three-goal cushion, and although they could have scored more, they saw the game home comfortably for a well-deserved victory.
