AFC Totton returned to winning ways as they defeated visiting Mangotsfield United 3-0.
On a very blustery afternoon, both sides struggled to find fluency as they battled the conditions. Totton took the lead on 15 minutes as Ethan TAYLOR rounded the keeper to slot home. Shaquille GWENGWE doubled the hosts’ lead shortly after, using his shoulder to steer home Taylor’s free kick.
Mangotsfield applied more pressure in the second period without truly testing home goalkeeper Lewis Noice, before Totton put the result beyond reach late on as substitute Hisham KASIMU calmly finished a one-on-one to return to goalscoring form and seal the three points.
The Stags travel to promotion rivals Frome Town next weekend; Mangotsfield host Yate Town in midweek.
