Taylor doubled his tally in the second half, beating the offside trap and confidently placing it beyond Sainsbury and completed his hat-trick with another great strike.
Scott Rendell added a hat-trick of his own, placing a pinpoint cross by Ethan Taylor and finishing a scrappy tap-in just moments after.
Charlie DAVIS put the cherry on the Stags' cake, scoring from a brilliant Adam Tomasso cross.
The result puts Totton level on points with Sholing, with three games in-hand and a superior goal difference.
