SUPER STAGS SINK SORRY SHOLING
AFC Totton secured a place in the second round of the Southern League Challenge Cup with victory over Sholing. In a cagey first half, Brett Williams had the best chance, forcing Luke Deacon into a sharp, low save. However, WILLIAMS broke the deadlock after pouncing upon Deacon’s loose touch, tucking into an empty net. Shortly after, Ade Olumuyiwa’s attempted clearance fell straight to Conor WHITELEY, who blasted home the equaliser. Less than a minute later, Ethan TAYLOR restored the Stags’ lead with an audacious lob. After that, the floodgates opened with Jordan RAGUETTE following up from Jack Hoey’s precise free-kick and adding his second with a venomous strike from the edge of the box. The Stags march into round two.
