STAGS OUTLAST SWANS FOR HARD-FOUGHT VICTORY
AFC Totton kept on the pressure at the top end of the table with a 1-0 away victory at struggling Slimbridge AFC.
Totton exploded out of the traps, and instantly took advantage. Charlie Davis swung a free-kick into the box, where Scott RENDELL powered a thumping header into the bottom corner.
Having taken an early lead, the Stags were circumspect in possession, prodding and probing the home defence without any real urgency. The Swans had some strong passages of play, but truthfully never called visiting goalkeeper Lewis Noice into any real action.
The game opened up more as time ticked on, with the hosts in search of an equaliser, but Totton were never troubled as they wrapped up the win.
