SLIMBRIDGE END STAGS’ UNBEATEN START
Slimbridge brought AFC Totton back to reality after securing a big win on Saturday. The home side started brighter and were awarded an early penalty which Jack Hoey saw saved by Lewis Adams. The Stags continued to dominate, but it was Slimbridge that took the lead as Will HAWES poked home from close range. This rocked Totton and, after Lewis Noice had saved Hawes’ audacious bicycle kick, the Swans doubled their lead as Nathan DENNIS stabbed in from a corner. After half-time, the Stags regrouped as Jordan Ngalo’s venomous shot was saved, and Kasimu had an effort disallowed for offside. Jordan ANNEAR added gloss to the scoreline in the final moments, sliding home after breaking through the defence.
