On an arctic evening, Winchester City shocked their local promotion rivals AFC Totton with a 3-1 victory.
The game started at a breakneck pace, with Lewis Noice and the woodwork denying the hosts, before Jordan Ngalo rattled the goal-frame with Adeoye OLUMUYIWA poking the rebound home. City hit back instantly, with Warren BENTLEY slotting in to level the scores. The Citizens pushed for more, and a set-piece routine gave Robert FLOOKS the opportunity to convert from close range for a 2-1 lead. The home side pushed for more and were rewarded when Ollie BALMER beat the offside trap to extend their advantage.
Winchester shut the door in a highly-strung second half, repelling Totton to emerge with a deserved three points.
