SPOILS SHARED IN FIERY HAMPSHIRE DERBY

AFC Totton and Winchester City played out a tempestuous draw on Tuesday. The game had a lightning start with Oliver BALMER curling in a first-minute free-kick from distance. In a feisty affair, Hisham KASIMU drew the home team level, lashing home Ethan Taylor’s low cross. City started brightest in the second half. However, against the run of play, the Stags took the lead, with KASIMU finishing with finesse into the corner. Their lead lasted for 12 minutes, with Simba MLAMBO tucking a free header beyond Noice. The match reached boiling point with remonstration from Stephane Zubar leading to a second caution, reducing Totton to ten men. Despite the numerical disadvantage, the Stags continued their unbeaten start to the league season.
