Presentation night – Awards details

AFC Totton held their annual presentation evening at the club last night.

The evening was held in three sections


Chairman Wayne Mew addressed those present and started by thanking all volunteers at the club, there were thanks to all of the kitchen staff ,who put in many hours working in the clubs kitchen for functions and match days.

Wayne then thanked all of the clubs bar staff who always put in many hours at private functions and match days, they are Claire, Brenda, Paul, Elaine and Angie.

Wayne also thanked the clubs stewards Darren, Roy,Roy (2) and Steve

Wayne also thanked other volunteers at the club Richard (Current Secretary), Shaun (Former secretary), Sean (Website and Mic) Simon (Community Liason officer) Hayden (Community) Stewart (Community) Terry (accounts) and Imogen (Physio)


Wayne made presentations to Colin Whitehorn and Shadow ( Colins dog) who follow the club everywhere.  Colin is moving down to the West Country and Wayne thanked him for his loyalty to the club over the years.

Wayne then called up U18’s manager Richard Matthews to say a few things.

Richard started by thanking his predecessor who left earlier in the season. He also read out a message from the previous manager.

Richard wanted to say a massive thank you to Mark Muddiman for his sponsorship of his U18’s side. He also thanked Simon Young and Adam Laurenson for their help during the season.

Richard then congratulated those lads who had been called up to the 1st team during the previous season.

Managers player of the season – Marco Gashi

Parents player of the season – James Matthews


Simon Young stood up and made presented the Tom Elliott trophy to Stewart Good.

Simon praised Stewart for how well he had done since becoming involved in the ‘Stags in the community’.

Wayne Mew then presented ‘The Chairmans award’ to the volunteer within the club who has gone above and beyond for the club over the last 12 months.

The winner of the award was (Kit man) Adam Laurenson
