Tony Lee back at AFC Totton on short term deal.
Tony Lee has joined the Stags on a short term loan deal from Poole Town to give him some game time. Back in the summer Louis Langdown did persuade Lee to join the Stags. However, interest from National League South Poole Town lured him to Dorset instead.
Louis Langdown told the Daily Echo
“Tony’s young and he needs game time. We tried to tell him that when he left for Poole, but it fell on deaf ears! He scored one or two for Poole in pre-season, but he’s not really had many minutes there. He trained with us pre-season too and we haven’t changed drastically since, so he already knows our lads.”
Lee’s addition will help the Stags strikers Craig Feeney and Nathaniel Sherborne. Langdown went on to add “Sherbs and Feens have had to play every game so far, We’ve had Nimes Pina around in fits and starts, but he’s not always here and not always fit. So when Tony made noises that he wanted game time, we jumped all over it.”
The Stags have also re-signed former Saints centre half Pedro Montiero (Pele) due to injuries sustained by Connor York and Sam Roberts as well as the long term absence of Dave Allen.
