A sports and education alternative provision with a focus on football — supporting 11–16-year-olds who are struggling in mainstream education to build resilience, confidence and the skills to reintegrate successfully.
The AFC Totton Alternative Provision was created to build an environment for 11–16-year-olds to progress within sports education, offering an opportunity for students in Key Stage 3 and 4 who are struggling in mainstream education. We support students who:
Our curriculum has a strong focus on maths and English, giving every student the basic foundations they need to access all other areas of their learning. Our football programme develops students physically, psychologically and socially — promoting teamwork and improving confidence both on and off the pitch.
We have a highly skilled and committed team of staff who create an inclusive environment to support students in regulating their own emotions. Our aim is to equip every student with the skills they need to reintegrate successfully back into mainstream education.
