Privacy policy

Adopted by the AFC Totton board, October 2026. This policy replaces the policy of 22 May 2018.

Who we are

This website is operated by AFC Totton 1886 Ltd (registered in England No. 11293572), The Snows Stadium, Salisbury Road, Totton, Southampton SO40 2DE ("the club", "we"). The club is the data controller for personal information collected through this site. Contact: Enquires@afctotton.com or 023 8086 8981.

What we collect and why

The Stags list. If you sign up for club news, we collect the name and email address you give us, with your consent, and use them only to send you club news, ticket information and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time and we will remove you from the list.

Enquiries. If you email the club, we hold your message and contact details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Site statistics. We count page views and clicks to understand how the site is used. These counts are anonymous: no tracking cookies are set, no advertising identifiers are used, and no profile of you is built. Statistics are kept for up to 13 months.

Payments. This website takes no payments. Tickets are sold by Fanbase, and shop and lottery purchases are handled by their respective operators — their own privacy policies apply when you use those services.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser stores only small preferences on your own device — such as your light/dark mode choice and whether you have dismissed the home-screen prompt — and these are never sent to us.

Where your data lives

The website and its data are hosted by Vercel Inc., which may process data in data centres outside the UK under appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses). We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Stags list signups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. Enquiry correspondence is kept no longer than 24 months. Anonymous site statistics are kept for up to 13 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email Enquires@afctotton.com or write to the club at the address above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Our mailing list and forms are intended for supporters aged 16 and over. Safeguarding enquiries relating to young people at the club should go to our welfare officers — see the Club page.

Changes

Any changes to this policy will be published on this page with the date of revision.
