The Stags won 3-2 at home against Enfield Town as Starman Tony Lee hit 10 league goals for the season!

A headed brace from Tony Lee and a bullet header from Ralph Vigrass gave the Stags all three points to move up to 11th.

The last-minute winner from talisman Lee perfectly summed up the five-goal thriller at the Snows Stadium as the home faithful went absolutely potty.

This led to a member of Enfield’s backroom staff to receive a red card for foul language aimed at referee Jake Allsopp.

The Stags travel to Chesham United at the same time next Saturday.

It was a very sunny but chilly Saturday afternoon on the south coast as the Stags started on the front foot.

Vigrass was incredibly dangerous down the right flank throughout the 90, constantly winning corners and piling pressure on the opponent’s defence.

Tony Lee is oozing with confidence and that was exemplified in the 9th minute as he took an audacious shot from the halfway line that flew over Hubert Graczyk’s head but was just wide of the post.

It was a proper non-league game, with both sides being physical and quick on the counter.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 18th minute after a picture-perfect free-kick from Oliver Davis dipped up and over the wall and into the back of the net.

Totton responded very positively with Ash Clarke and Lee dominating the home side’s attack.

It was those exact players who equalised for the Stags as Clarke’s recognisable intricate footwork allowed him to cross and find the head of Lee who headed home to liven up the contest.

Despite rather annoying vuvuzelas coming from Enfield fans, it didn’t affect the boys in blue as a bullet header from Vigrass put Totton ahead right before half time as it kissed the underside of the crossbar.

Tony Lee’s hold up play was magnificent as always, allowing the Stags to break on the counter via Ash Clarke and Ralph Vigrass.

However, it was the away side who got the next goal to put them level after a no-nonsense clearance from T’Sharne Gallimore set Lamar Reynolds through on goal who finished ruthlessly.

The adrenaline was running through Enfield’s attack after the equaliser, with their defence demonstrating composure.

To no-one’s surprise, Tony Lee cracked the away side’s defence after latching onto yet another pinpoint cross from Clarke to put everyone inside the Snows Stadium on their feet.

His purposeful header left the opposition goalkeeper no chance as it flew into the top left.

A breathless encounter at the Snows Stadium left the home fans going home the happiest.
