AFC Totton AFC Totton Pitching In - Partners with Southern Football League

Every 90 minutes, 25 households are made homeless in England.

Up and down the country, the struggle for households has only increased as the cost of living crisis bites harder. This Christmas, we are making a stand with Shelter's #NoHomeKit campaign.

What is #NoHomeKit?

This Christmas Shelter, a homelessness charity, has asked clubs and fans to swap their Home colours for their Away kit or Third kit (or the colours of your club's away kit if you do not own an away kit). The idea is to show support and come together to raise vital funds for struggling households in England. It's a visual way of showing that too many people have 'no home'.

Why is #NoHomeKit happening?

As a community-based football club, we know the importance of a home, of having a warm, secure place to live. This Boxing Day, we are dedicating our local derby fixture to the #NoHomeKit campaign. For the match AFC Totton vs, Lymington Town (Kick off at 3 PM), both teams will be wearing their away kits in support of #NoHomeKit.

This year, far too many people, including families, will be spending their Christmas on the streets, in dingy hotels and in freezing cars. Like you, this is something we can not ignore. It's easy to think of the South and Hampshire in particular as an affluent area but we are just as affected by homelessness as other areas of the UK.

How can you get involved?

Our aim, with your help, is to spread the word of the #NoHomeKit campaign and raise funds to support Shelter's efforts.  It is Shelter's goal to make sure everyone in the UK has access to a safe, secure and affordable place to call home.
