AFCT IN THE COMMUNITY ROUNDUP 25/26

As the 25/26 season draws to a close, let's take a look at some of the fantastic work our club charity AFC Totton in the community , has completeted over the past year lead by Tara Doel!

  • Matchday activities and raffle ticket prizes have helped local groups and charities raise over £20,500 over the season.
  • Every Shirt Supports A Cause - raised over £1,300 for AFC Totton in the Community.  £315.00 of this was awarded to the Billy Viggar & Gary Joseph funds.
  • Organised our Remembrance Day service.
  • Introduced the Yellow Brick Road Project to the club, this project has provided Trauma-Informed training for some of our AP and staff team.
  • Worked on grant funding to secure new infrastructure for the club including the new car park side stand.
  • Promoted national awareness days such as Prostate Cancer Day, World Suicide Prevention day, White Ribbon Day and World Mental Health Day.
  • Linked with local schools to provide tickets for young people and raffles. Also helped with a World Record attempt by Hounsdown School as a Timekeeper.
  • Supported local charity Rose Road with matchday tickets for some of their young people to attend matches with their carers.
  • Set up our charity lottery - Support AFC Totton in the Community when you play New Forest Community Lottery - New Forest Community Lottery
  • Supported matchday operations doing the 50/50 draw across the season.
  • Held a Community Fun Day in July last year with fun fair, charities, services, activities and stall holders.  The weather wasn't exactly in our favour, featuring some really heavy downpours alongside lovely sunshine. There was great community spirit, excellent activities, and lots of interaction & how cute were those lambs that the New Forest Young Farmers bought along ðŸ™‚  Attendees were: Brockenhurst Young Farmers, Solent University, Southampton Barnardo's Enable Ability, Club Baton of Hope Tour 25, Hanger Farm, MND Association, Sue Carter - CRY, Youth Options NCS, Totton Police, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, 165 Port and Maritime Regiment,  RLC Hampshire Search and Rescue,  AFC Totton Walking Football Team .
  • Supported our Beach Soccer Team. More details about this year's event to come soon!
  • Organised x 3 coaching sessions bringing together young carers from both New Forest Young Carers Service & Romsey Young Carers.
