AFC TOTTON AND BROCKENHURST will stage a rematch of last season’s SDFA Southampton Senior Cup Semi-Final when they meet at the Snows Stadium on Wednesday night (24 July 2024).
The Stags triumphed 5-0 at the neutral venue of Blackfield & Langley’s Gang Warily ground in mid-May, on their way to winning their record-equalling third Southampton Senior Cup in a row.
This will be AFC Totton’s fifth game of the pre-season campaign. They began their warm-up for the 2024/25 season with a 4-0 win at Didcot Town, before losing 2-5 at AFC Stoneham on Tuesday 09 July. A Southampton XI, made-up predominantly of U23 players, won 3-2 at the Snows Stadium that following Saturday. The Stags travelled to Oxfordshire this past weekend to take on Banbury United, who will be playing their football in the Southern League Premier Division Central this season having been relegated from the National League North last term.

Joshua Owers gave Totton the lead with an audacious lob towards the end of a first half that The Stags dominated. But as both sides made several changes throughout the second period, The Puritans grabbed a deserved equaliser from one of their trialists.
Brockenhurst finished last season’s Wessex League Premier Division campaign in 6th place, only missing out on a Promotion Play-Off place to Baffins Milton Rovers on goal difference. Their new season kicks-off on Tuesday 30 July with a home game against Christchurch in the league, before they travel to Bemerton Heath Harlequins in the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round on Saturday 03 August.
