Club Statement – New board of directors
AFC Totton’s chairman and vice chairman would like to issue the following statement to allay any concerns that the supporters may have following the recent changes within the club and silly comments made on social media.
” Over the last few months, we have had many meetings with people looking to join the board at AFC Totton. The main points of discussion for the club, was not a takeover but to look for potential investors to join the board and work in partnership with both Dave Penny and myself. We have achieved so much over the last 4 years with different organisations to make the club sustainable and we were not prepared to risk the progress made so far. The club is in a sustainable situation, but we do not have a playing budget to allow the club to progress on the field and therefore this is the area we wanted to improve”.
These discussions have now been completed and an agreement has been signed. We can confirm that moving forward, the board of directors will increase from two as it is at present, to six. Here are the names of the new board
