We can confirm that The Stags will welcome TWO new players into the team to bolster the numbers in the squad!
Signing #1 – Alfie Merritt (On a season-long loan from AFC Bournemouth)
AFC Totton are pleased to welcome Alfie Merritt to The Club on a loan for the rest of the season from AFC Bournemouth!
The left back primarily has played for the Bournemouth U21 squad, appearing in six of their U21 PL Cup games!
Merritt is young and hungry and adds some needed depth to our team!
Signing #2 – Samuel Tinubu
We are also pleased to confirm the signing of versatile midfielder Sam Tinubu!
A graduate of the Stevenage academy, he made his professional debut for the club in October 2021, becoming the youngest Football League debutant in Stevenage’s history.
During the 2022–23 season, Sam spent time on loan at Biggleswade Town, where he impressed with 18 league appearances and three goals.
Following his release from Stevenage in May 2023, he had senior spells with Bedford Town and returned to Biggleswade Town for the 2024–25 campaign.
Most recently, Tinubu had been playing his football at Hadley FC before joining up with AFC Totton!
