Taunton retained top spot after a 4-0 win at Didcot with Matthew Wright’s brace helping stretch the division leader’s unbeaten away run to seven games. Didcot slipped to seventh place having now lost two on the bounce.

Salisbury City climbed into the second automatic promotion position with a 2-0 win at Barnstaple and could gain ground on Taunton next Saturday when the leaders are in FA Trophy action.

The West Division match of the day was the Webb’s Wood Stadium where Swindon Supermarine moved above visitors Bristol Manor Farm and into third place courtesy of Joe Selman’s 54th minute winner.

Goals were plentiful at North Leigh where the home side edged out Bideford by four goals to three including two from George Seacole. After taking thirteen points from their previous five games, the fifth placed visitors will be looking to return to winning ways at home to Cinderford next Saturday.

Evesham’s poor run continued with a 1-1 home draw against Yate Town which leaves them in sixth place and without a win in five.

Another side who have now gone five without a win are Winchester City who went in two down at the interval at Cinderford but came away with a point with goals from Liam Gilbert and Patrick Cox.

The comeback of the day award however must go to Wimborne Town who after conceding twice in the first half against Shortwood United at the Cuthbury but went on to hit five in the last 23 minutes with Jack Lovell and Toby Holmes each netting twice.

After three consecutive defeats Larkhall overcame Paulton Rovers 2-1 and climbed above their visitors into fourteenth place in the table.

Struggling Mangotsfield fought out their third 1-1 draw in a row at home to Cirencester ahead of next Saturday’s trip to the The Total Branding Community Stadium whilst bottom side Bishops Cleeve made it four points from their last two games following their 1-1 draw at home to Slimbridge.
