AFC Totton are pleased to confirm the signing of vastly experienced defender Ryan Jackson!
The 35-year-old right-back arrives at the Snows Stadium with an impressive pedigree, having amassed over 500 senior appearances during a professional career spanning more than a decade in the English Football League.
Jackson began his career at AFC Wimbledon, playing a key role in their rise through the non-league ranks before securing a move to Macclesfield Town. His consistent performances quickly earned him a transfer to Newport County, where he was a regular starter in their promotion-winning side.
Further spells followed at Gillingham — across two separate stints — as well as Colchester United, Notts County, and Cheltenham Town. Across those clubs, Jackson developed a reputation as a powerful and dependable right-sided defender, known for his athleticism, attacking runs, and trademark long throw-ins that frequently caused problems in the final third.
His Football League experience, tactical awareness, and leadership qualities will be invaluable to AFC Totton as the club prepares for the upcoming season with renewed ambition.
