Steve Hollick gave his views to Sean McGlead after the 2-0 loss in the FA Trophy tie at Ladysmead yesterday

Well Steve what did you make of  our disappointing 2-0 loss at Tiverton today?

To be honest, I was very disappointed with our ability to hold on to the ball today. We seemed to shirk responsibility on the ball and it cost us, especially for their first goal. Our inability to retain possession meant that we had to defend for long periods and as a result we couldn’t get a foothold in the game. With hindsight I maybe should have set us up differently. Overall though, its disappointing for the club not to have a cup run. They haven’t had one for a few years and it would have been nice to have done that.

As far as Tiverton go, they are a nice club with a nice ground and they are a good side too. Their manager Martin Rodgers has assembled a side that are decent enough for the Southern League, they will be up there this season, they had players who worked hard in closing us down and they had a front two who were willing runners and we will be facing them again in the league next Saturday.

OK Steve we now move on to the Hampshire Senior Cup on Wednesday. How are you going to approach the tie at Wessex League Division One side AFC Stoneham?

I will be taking the first team squad. I may rest one or two players, but I am definitely taking the competition seriously. Its a good competition and the club has done well in it in the past having won it twice.

I know AFC Stoneham, they are a building a decent Wessex League side and i used to play for them. I know a couple of people there as well, it will be nice to go back.
