Lewis Waterfield has been confirmed as another re-signing for the club for the upcoming 2021/22 season, writes Jack Clarkson
Another highly rated midfielder has put that pen on that paper to ensure he is an AFC Totton player for the upcoming season. Lewis signed for the Stags for the 2020/21 season and during the short lived campaign, proved he was a brilliant player. Having previously been at Eastleigh FC, the 20 year old brings with him experience at the higher levels. He found game time difficult to come by and is now in the process of building his own sporting achievements. With his extremely professional approach, Lewis is steadily starting to establish himself on the local non-league scene.
Like all the other players at Totton, Lewis had the opportunity to sit down with the team to discuss it all. The player said ‘I’m overwhelmed (to sign), I can’t wait to get started, just getting through pre-season and kicking off from where we left off last season’. Discussing the new signings the club have welcomed, Lewis commented ‘we definitely have versatility now, being able to make subs if we need to and still be a strong side no matter what’.
Lewis, being such a young footballer brings an ore of confidence about him and we’re all hoping he’ll bring that to the upcoming season, which we do not doubt! Welcome back, Lewis.
