AFC Totton v Bashley Red Insure Cup 1st round
This coming Tuesday (20th October 7.45pm) The Stags play hosts to our New Forest rivals Bashley in the 1st round of the Red Insure Cup.
Totton will be looking to put their last two results behind them by trying to get through to the 2nd round of the competition where the winners will face Winchester City at Home on Tuesday November 10th.
Since the Stags 4-0 victory over Steve Riley’s side on September 29th the Bash have pulled off a very notable victory over Cinderford in the FA Trophy whilst losing 2-0 at Yate and 1-0 at home to Shortwood United last Saturday. There appears to have been an improvement for sure after heavy early season losses.
The Stags were without Nathaniel Sherborne and Jake Burgess through injury for Saturdays game at Slimbridge whilst Craig Feeney was unavailable as he prepares for a new life in Australia. However, on the plus side the Stags did have the duel signing from Eastleigh (Ex Bristol City midfielder) Jack Alexander in the side, whilst the other duel signing from Eastleigh Tony Lee has agreed to join the Stags and he will join up with the squad shortly. It will be interesting to see what options Steve Hollick will have to chose from for Tuesdays tie.
The club have reduced admission for Tuesdays game to £5 adults £3 Students and Oap’s and £1 for U16’s.
