TORQUAY UNITED – THEIR SEASON SO FAR:
The Gulls finished second in last year’s National League South campaign and started this season with a win at home to Enfield Town, 3-1! They followed that up with a draw against Maidstone away, rescuing a point in the 96th minute.
In the third game of the season, The Stags travelled to Plainmoor and lost 3-1 despite a valiant effort against one of the favourites for promotion. Recap what happened in that match by clicking here to read the report.
Their three-game unbeaten run was ended at the hands of Horsham as they lost 2-1 away. And since that result form has been inconsistent for Torquay, beating Dover 3-2, but then losing to Hemel Hempstead (2-1) and drawing to Hampton & Richmond (2-2) in their last two away games.
Coming into this game, Torquay’s last result was a 4-2 win against Slough Town, scoring all four goals in the first half.
