AFC Totton AFC Totton Enterprise National League

Bridgwater Town v AFC Totton preview.

On Saturday the Stags will head west to Fairfax Park to face Bridgwater Town (3pm) as they resume their Evo Stik Southern league programme after a two week break.

Totton will be buoyed by their 2-1 win at home to Yate Town, which was the first of the season for the Stags. The nature of the performance against Yate gave everybody at the club a huge shot in the arm and re-affirmed the belief that we are a much better side than our league position shows. The work rate was phenomenal from the players and there were many excellent performances on the day.

Manager Steve Hollick now has players returning from injury, so there is every reason to be optimistic at the Testwood Stadium.

Totton’s opponents Bridgwater have had an almost identical start to the season as the Stags with one win, one draw and five defeats. Bridgwater are above Totton by virtue of scoring one more goal. That stat makes Saturdays contest in the West Country an interesting one, that is for sure.

When the Stags visited Fairfax Park last season the Robins ran out 3-1 winners with the goal coming from Stuart Mott. Needless to say, this time around the Stags will be looking for a much improved result.
