AFC Totton welcome Dorking Wanderers to The Snows Stadium for an Enterprise National League South fixture!
Last time out The Stags were beaten on Easter Monday, 2-0 away at Chippenham Town. CLICK HERE to read the match report from that game.
DORKING WANDERERS – THEIR SEASON SO FAR:
Dorking started the season with just one win in their first four games which was against Slough at home, 2-0. The other results included a draw away at Chippenham on opening day and two losses against Hampton & Richmond (0-3) and Hemel Hempstead (2-0). Their other results to round out August saw two wins, against Tonbridge (4-1) and Bath City (1-2).
In September they started the month with a loss to Hornchurch but bounced back to go undefeated in the rest of the games for the month which included two league games (one win and one draw) and three FA Cup games; a 7-2 win against Wingate & Finchley as well as a draw and a win in the replay against Salisbury.
October didn’t continue in the same vain however as they went without a win in five games, three in the league which saw two draws and a loss, and the other two winless games being in cup competitions, a 3-0 defeat away at Raynes Park Vale in the Surrey Senior Cup and a loss to Aldershot at home in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round. There were two crucial wins though for Dorking at the end of the month against Torquay and Maidenhead, both at home.
November started off much better than the previous month, with two back-to-back wins against Salisbury and Enfield but that run was halted by a 2-0 away loss to Farnborough, all three were in the league. Then came the first FA Trophy match of the season which Dorking beat Eastbourne in, 3-2. They followed that up with a 3-1 win against Maidstone but a 2-1 loss away at Chelmsford finished off November.
December was a good month in the league for Dorking, with four out of their five league games being wins, their only non-win was a loss away at rivals, Worthing. Also in December saw The Wanderers’ FA Trophy run stopped by Bath City, who managed to win at Meadowbank on penalties.
2026 started off superbly and it took until the 7th of March for Dorking to lose their next game. This run included ten matches, with seven of those fixtures being wins, a run that lifted Dorking up to the top of the National League South.
After the loss to Dagenham & Redbridge, results weren’t consistent for Dorking, and in their last eight matches have picked up just three wins, with the rest being a combination of two draws and three losses.
Their last result was a 1-2 home defeat against Worthing, a result which saw Dorking move below Worthing in the table.
