TAUNTON TOWN V THE STAGS – THE PREVIEW
The Stags have been handed a tough start to the new season with a trip to Wordsworth Drive to face Taunton Town. The Peacocks missed out in the play offs last season, losing 2-1 to Stratford Town in the semi-final after a 4th place finish in the table. Taunton have been pretty busy themselves over the summer rebuilding and strengthening their side, they have added Jordan Rogers (Striker),Charlie Hutchins (Centre half), Dale Evans (Midfield) and Nuno Felix (Midfield) all from Yate Town. They have also added Craig Veal (Striker) from Bideford, Josh Searle (Winger) from Tiverton, Josh Klein Davies (Striker) from Shortwood as well as Jak Martin (Centre half) from Willand Rovers.
Last season the Stags went down 2-1 at Wordsworth Drive in one of the better performances of the campaign with Billy Lowes scoring the Stags goal. Let’s hope that this Saturday that the Stags can make a positive start and improve on that result.
