Firstly, we would like to apologies for the late publication of this statement but I am sure you will understand from recent events that we have had to deal with other outside bodies with a view to stabilising the club.
The club would like to take this opportunity to clarify the main action points of the members meeting that took place on Monday 6th January 2014. The members discussed a full list of options in depth about the best way they felt the club should go forward. One of these options was a formal partnership with Totton College. The members agreed that this is the best option for AFC Totton and have instructed the club executive to continue the discussions with the college with a view to agreeing a formal partnership.
Of course there are still a lot of negotiations to be carried out before any agreement can be reached but the Executive are confident that an agreement can be reached. We will keep you informed of all developments. Our main objective over the coming months is to secure the future of AFC Totton Football Club as a whole, for the Players, Members and Fans
We have no comment regarding the statements made by individuals in last week’s press, as we are entirely focused on the football club and taking it forward.
