AFC Totton V Wimborne Town was MNDA Day at the Testwood Stadium.
The MND Association is our chosen charity for the season and as a club we have been running events whilst raising awareness and money. The MNDA really came to the forefront of every ones minds with the success of the MNDA/ALS Icebucket challenge. This debilitating disease currently has no cure so only support can be given to those who suffer from it and their families.
All of this work has been motivated and organised by Chris Maple, son in law of former AFC Totton goalkeeper Mike Guillver.
To help raise awareness the match versus Wimbourne Town was designated MNDA Day, with players and club staff donning MNDA T-Shirts and bucket collections around the ground.
Also on the day Kyle O’Brien with presented with the Ocotober MNDA Player of the Month award.
In the past we ran a successful quiz night, with Chairman Andy Strakers team proving their knowledge to be the best on the night.
Next up is a skittles night on Friday 28th of November. With teams of 5 challenging to be the superior skittlers. It’s £5 per person to enter and the entry price includes food. The event starts at 7:30pm in the Monarch Suite at the Testwood Stadium. Please come along and support this event.
