Stags v Dolphins preview
AFC Totton have their first home Pre Season friendly this coming Thursday (23rd) when they face Poole Town at the Testwood Stadium (7.45pm).
The Dolphins will offer the Stags a stern test that is for sure. Poole will almost certainly be promotion candidates again in the Evo Stik premier in 2015/16, although it looked for much of last season that they would achieve their goal of Conference South football. The heartbreak of a last day loss at home to Corby Town in the Championship decider, followed by elimination in the semi final of the play offs to St Neots Town is sure to make the Dorset club even more determined to achieve their aims this time around.
The Stags will be in good heart and in good shape for Thursday’s game after starting their pre season with a 5-0 win at Brockenhurst and an 8-1 win at Team Solent. The Stags also put up a commendable showing in the Weymouth 125 tournament last Saturday, which included a 1-0 win over Torquay United.
Admission to Thursdays game is £5 for adults and £2 for Oap’s and U16’s.
