AFC totton hosting training camp for the U17 Women's squad during their international tour
*UPDATED 26th September - The Tanzania U17 Women's team will play Southampton Women's Development Development Squad at Snows Stadium on Tues 27th September, kick off at 7.30pm*
Through AFC Totton's ever-growing partnership with Southampton FC, Mark Abrahams, Southampton's Director of Business & Community Development, requested our assistance in hosting Tanzania's Women’s National U17 squad in September.
Southampton has an international programme where they bring groups of aspiring footballers to the UK for player development camps. Saints had a request from the Tanzania Government, who they have been working with, to host their Women’s National U17 squad for a 2 week tour in September. As it’s a national team, they were looking for Elite facilities and have scheduled a number of sessions at the Staplewood training complex as well as at the Snows Stadium.
These are the dates and times the Tanzanian U17 will be training or playing in a fixture at the Snows Stadium:-
Sunday 11th September: 8.30am – 10.30am
Tuesday 13th September: 4.00pm – 6.30pm (hoping to host a fixture)
Thursday 15th September: 4.00pm – 5.30pm
Friday 16th September: 4.00pm – 6.30pm (hoping to host a fixture)
Wednesday 21st September: 8.30am – 10.30am & 4.00pm – 5.30pm
Thursday 22nd September: 4.00pm – 6.30pm (hoping to host a fixture)
The Snows Stadium is now a truly international destination for football.
