Injury doubts returning to fitness:

As the Stags face Taunton on Saturday, news is looking promising for the players who are out injured, with two hopeful of coming back to full fitness in the next week or two.

Dave Allen is finishing his rehab programme on his ankle and intends to play 45 minutes for the reserves on Saturday, after coming through training with no niggles.

Meanwhile, Tony Rolls has gone on loan to Brockenhurst for a month to gain match fitness after his injury. Steve Hollick and the team are very grateful to the New Forest side for the agreement and hope the loan will be beneficial to both squads.

Mark Lilley is still struggling with a groin injury, but is likely to return to light training for next week. However, the news isn’t as good for injured loanee, Jack Simpson.

The AFC Bournemouth youngster damaged his ankle ligaments in the game against Larkhall Athletic and has been ruled out for the next six weeks. He will be monitored by his parent club up until the new year and will hopefully re-join the Totton team after being given the all-clear from the medics.

We are still hoping to strengthen the squad in the next couple of weeks before the chaotic Christmas period, with the games coming thick and fast over the festive season.

The full team line up for tomorrow’s home game against Taunton Town is: –
