AFC Totton stumble to a lacklustre 1-1 draw with bottom side Chippenham Town in Hampshire!

Tony Lee found the net just after the hour; however, it was cancelled out by a Luke Hains leveller just minutes later.

At a frosty Snows Stadium, both Totton and Chippenham took a while to warm up with a lack of goalmouth action in the opening exchanges.

The Visitors had the first shot of anger when Harry Parsons evaded the offside trap; however, one on one fired over.

Tony Lee then released a snapshot, which was well saved by Bluebird's keeper Will Henry down to his right.

Anointed Chukwa was causing all sorts of problems for the Stags’ defence, and he disposed Christos Batzelis before laying it off to Billy Phillips, who skied over

The visitors then continued their pressure; however, his long-range effort sailed into the hands of Jacob Knightbridge.

The Stags started the second half well with Bournemouth loanee Ash Clarke driving into the box, however his shot was blocked by Luke Haines.

Dec Rose then delivered an enticing whipping ball which found Luke Hallett, who at the back post could not capitalise.

Totton then broke the deadlock with Osbourne’s first-time cross finding Lee at the back post to open the scoring just after the hour.

However, that lead lasted just minutes with Chippenham squaring through captain Hains.

The Stags failed to clear the loose ball, and it fell to the unlikely source of Hains, who found the bottom corner.

Chippenham then came close to completing the comeback when substitute Tom Owen-Evans found Chukwa, whose effort eclipsed the far post.

Full-time and Totton will count themselves fortunate to take a point from a struggling Bluebirds side.

The point keeps the Stags locked in midtable, while visitors Chippenham remain rooted to the bottom, having just won three times this season.
