AFC Totton are pleased to announce the signing of defender Robert Flooks.

Rob, who is 27 years-old, joins the Stags on a permanent deal from rivals Winchester City, where he enjoyed two spells with the Citizens.

‘Flooksy’ is a former Gosport Borough player who will be familiar to our fans as he scored in the Citizens’ 3-1 win over Totton on 7th January; one of four league goals he has contributed this season. The 6'1" centre-back has also been with AFC Totton before, playing under Steve Riley in 2013/14. He now returns to the Snows Stadium, bringing with him a wealth of experience and widely-recognised leadership qualities, to aid the Stags' promotion push.

“There is a lot of ambition at this football club,” said Rob. “The set-up is already impressive and the management of the Club have shown me where they want to take it over the next few years. I like the style of football here and I already know about 70% of the players in the squad, especially Adam Tomasso and Nathan Hurst who I grew up with, and Harry Medway who I played with at Gosport. So, there were a lot of good reasons for me to return.”

Everyone at AFC Totton would like to welcome Rob back to the Club and we look forward to seeing him playing in the blue and white soon.
