AFC Totton AFC Totton Enterprise National League

AFC Totton have chosen the Motor Neurone Disease Association as our chosen charity for this season.

The club chose the charity because of a former player sadly passing away from the disease last year. Mike ‘Gully’ Gulliver being our inspiration it was an easy decision to support a charity making massive differences to the lives of those suffering with MND (Or its most common form ALS – as known in the USA) and their families.

It was only a matter of time before the players and staff got involved with the #IceBucketChallenge.

Here is captain Rob Flooks leading by example…

… and top scorer Craig Feeney…

… and even club website editor and stagsLIVE co-commentator Andy Munns.

You don’t need to do the Ice Bucket Challenge to to support MND there are a plethora of options.

You can make a donation via text message – text ICED55 £5 (Or any amount) to 70070 or visit the just giving page – https://www.justgiving.com/IceBucket4MND/ where the total has raced to over £1m in just over a week.

You can also come along to one of the AFC Totton and MNDA events, the first of which is a General Knowledge Quiz – http://www.afctotton.com/event/mnda-general-knowledge-quiz/?instance_id=185

Finally Chris Maple (Son in law of Mike Gulliver) is organising a Sports Dinner and Auction in Salisbury with Dame Sarah Storey as the guest speaker – http://www.redcard4mnd.co.uk/sportsauction.html
