After a two week absence from league duty due to cup commitments, league leaders Taunton reopened a five point cushion at the top of the table following an impressive 3-0 win at play-off contenders Evesham.
Bristol Manor Farm occupy second place on 30 points but will be disappointed to have dropped a couple after letting a two goal lead slip in the 2-2 home draw with Cirencester.
Two wins in a week including Saturday’s 4-1 win at home to Larkhall have seen Bideford leap into third place on 29 points.
The North Devon side have benefitted from the continued inconsistency of Salisbury who were held 1-1 at Cinderford and fall to fourth one place above Evesham who are also on 28 points.
Four sides on 26 points are led by the Stags on goal difference just ahead of Wimborne, 3-1 winners at home to Mangotsfield, Swindon Supermarine whose home game against Slimbridge was abandoned with ten minutes remaining with the score at one each due to a serious injury to visiting striker Marley Thomas and Didcot who beat visitors Barnstaple 4-2.
Winchester dropped back to tenth on 24 points following a 1-1 draw at Yate but could climb into the top six on Tuesday evening with victory at home to Swindon Supermarine who would similarly leap up to fourth place with a win.
Kidlington remain the dark horses of the division in eleventh place after a 3-0 home win against Paulton and are undefeated this season with the exception of two losses in three days over the August bank holiday.
North Leigh notched up their third consecutive win beating bottom side Bishops Cleeve 3-1.
Next Saturday could again see a rejig of the top six positions as Salisbury face Bristol Manor Farm at the Ray Mac whilst the Stags square up against Evesham at the Total Branding Community Stadium.
