Lymington Town_600x600px.pngTwo of AFC Totton’s younger first team squad players have moved to Lymington Town to get more game time and further their footballing development.

Lewis Waterfield (above), who joined the Club from Eastleigh in May 2020, has been deployed as something of a utility player for the Stags this season, operating both in the midfield and at right-back on occasions.

The 21-year-old has made a total of 14 starts in all competitions, as well as being a regular substitute, and registered his only goal of the campaign in the 5-0 league win at Mangotsfield United in late September.

Joining Lewis at the Lymington Sports Ground is the promising young winger, George Britton (below). The former Aldershot Town player, who had trials with West Bromwich Albion and German side Holstein Kiel, has been limited to just three substitute appearances since arriving at the Snows Stadium in August.

He impressed, however, during a recent loan spell at Wessex League Premier side Baffins Milton Rovers and will now have the chance to fully experience life in the Southern League Div.1 South alongside Lewis at Lymo, where their more senior Stags teammate Brett Williams also enjoyed a short spell just after the turn of the year.

Both players made their Lymington debuts and played the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw at home to Highworth Town on Saturday.
