MATCH PREVIEW: FARNHAM TOWN
The wait is finally over, as AFC Totton get their 2026/27 National League South campaign underway tomorrow afternoon with a trip to newly promoted Farnham Town.
After a busy summer of preparation, The Stags will be looking to get their league season off to the perfect start as Scott Rendell’s side make the journey to The Memorial Ground for the opening-day encounter.
Farnham Town arrive in the National League South having enjoyed a remarkable rise through the divisions in recent seasons. The Surrey side secured a third successive promotion last campaign, defeating Gloucester City 5-1 in the Southern League Premier South play-off final to reach Step 2 for the first time in their history.
The newly promoted hosts will therefore be entering their first-ever National League South season full of confidence and excitement, and will be determined to make their historic debut one to remember in front of their home supporters.
For The Stags, meanwhile, tomorrow represents the beginning of another important chapter following last season’s campaign. With a number of new faces added to the squad alongside those who remain from last season, there will be plenty of anticipation surrounding how the side will fare as competitive football returns.
The two sides will be looking to lay down an early marker, with three points on offer and both clubs eager to start the new campaign on the front foot.
With the hard work of pre-season now behind them, it is time for the real thing.
COME ON YOU STAGS!
