The Stags return to the Snows Stadium following a 1-0 defeat to Slough Town last Saturday. The loss follows on from the midweek defeat to Weston-Super-Mare, where the Stags fell victim to a 3-1 defeat. The back-to-back defeats leave AFC Totton 19th in the National League South on 10 points.
Gloucester City come to the Snows Stadium after a 1-1 draw against Basingstoke. The Tigers are unbeaten in their last three, with a 1-1 draw at home against Mangotsfield in the last round of the FA Cup followed by a 4-0 win away at Mangotsfield in the ensuing replay.
Gloucester's league form has them sat at 19th in the Southern League Premier Division South.
Previous Meetings
The last time these two met was back in the 2024/25 season in three separate matches.
The first match occurred in October 2024 at The Snows Stadium, which saw the points shared in a 1-1 draw. Gloucester City took the lead through Brandon Smalley in the 35th minute. After half-time, Ethan Taylor equalised in the 58th minute. Gloucester ended the game with 10 men after Daniel Leadbitter received a second yellow card in the 90th minute.
The second encounter saw the match take place at The KMM Energy Stadium in February 2025 and was a close affair in which the points were shared again. This time in a goalless 0-0 draw between the sides.
The final encounter of the season came in the play-off final. Totton hosted the game at The Snows Stadium in May 2025, and after a goalless first half, Ethan Taylor opened the scoring in the 70th minute, which led to AFC Totton's victory and resulted in their promotion to the National League South.
In all four meetings between the sides, the Stags have never lost against Gloucester, having won two games and drawn two games.
Implications of Result
Saturday offers both sides a lot of hope.
For Totton, Saturday offers an opportunity to get back to winning ways and carry momentum into their FA Cup clash against Gloucester City and into the next National League South game away at Dover.
For Gloucester City, it gives them the chance to continue their good run of form and progress in the FA Cup ahead of a Southern League Premier Division South match against Malvern Town on Tuesday.

Gloucester City: Ashley Hemmings
Signing in the summer from Dagenham & Redbridge, Hemmings has been on a tear, scoring nine goals in 14 starts in all competitions. Hemmings will prove to be a tough opponent for Totton's defence throughout the game.
AFC Totton: Ryan Gosney
The only player to play every minute this season, the one consistent in the Totton side is our number 13, Ryan Gosney. After keeping Totton in the game with three incredible saves against Slough and recording two clean sheets in eight games, Gosney will certainly give Totton security at the back as the last line of defence.
